Achieving this mission requires more than financial support—it also takes volunteers who can help build awareness, strengthen community connections and contribute their time and skills.

Scholarkids welcomes adults age 18 or older who believe household income should never limit a child’s opportunity to learn, dream and achieve.

We encourage involvement from:

No previous volunteer experience is required—only a willingness to learn, communicate respectfully and represent Scholarkids with integrity. Opportunities are flexible and may be matched to your interests, skills and availability.

Note: Scholarkids does not accept court-ordered or legally mandated community-service placements or verify hours for those purposes.

Choose a flexible, practical way to support Arizona students:

• Share Printed Materials: Place or distribute Scholarkids-approved flyers in publicly accessible or authorized locations, such as community centers, libraries, workplaces, campuses, churches and local events.
• Share Digital Content: Post or forward Scholarkids-approved content through personal social media accounts, emails and community networks.
• Support Authorized Events: Welcome visitors, distribute approved materials and direct all program-specific questions to Scholarkids.
• Give Approved Presentations: After completing the required guidance and receiving authorization, use Scholarkids-provided materials to speak with community groups about the organization and available educational opportunities.
• Refer Outreach Opportunities: Inform Scholarkids about schools, businesses, churches, civic groups or community events that may be appropriate for future outreach. Scholarkids will manage all contact, discussions and organizational arrangements.

Note – Volunteers may share approved information but shall not establish partnerships, negotiate arrangements, make commitments or act as business representatives for Scholarkids. They may not provide tax, legal, financial or scholarship advice, answer case-specific questions or handle contributions.

• Official Verifiable Digital Credentials & Certificates : Adult volunteers may earn Scholarkids-verified certificates and digital badges based on documented service and impact. Service Badges—Red, White and Blue—recognize sustained volunteer hours, while Impact Medals—Bronze, Silver and Gold—recognize meaningful, measurable contributions. Eligible credentials can be shared on LinkedIn, digital résumés, professional portfolios and employment applications. 
• Make a Meaningful Impact: Help more people learn about Scholarkids and scholarship opportunities for Arizona students with financial need.

Step 1: Submit the Adult Volunteer Intake Form

Complete and submit the Adult Volunteer Intake Form to begin the Scholarkids volunteer process.

Step 2: Provide Additional Information

After submitting your form, Scholarkids may contact you if additional information is needed to evaluate your interests, skills, experience, availability, or preferred ways to contribute.

Step 3: Application Review & Opportunity Matching

Our team will review your information and consider you for volunteer opportunities based on your qualifications, interests, availability, and current program needs. Submission of a volunteer form does not guarantee placement.

Step 4: Volunteer Role Confirmation

If an appropriate opportunity is identified, a Scholarkids team member will discuss the role with you and confirm the assignment, responsibilities, schedule, role boundaries, and applicable program requirements before you begin.

Step 5: Orientation & Training

Before beginning your assignment, you will receive the Scholarkids Volunteer Handbook and any required orientation, training, approved materials, and role-specific guidance. Communication procedures, confidentiality requirements, and appropriate volunteer boundaries will be clearly explained.

Step 6: Assignment Confirmation & Service Reporting

Begin your volunteer activities only after Scholarkids confirms your assignment. Follow your approved role, responsibilities, and guidelines, accurately log your service hours, and report any questions, concerns, or activities outside your assigned role to Scholarkids before proceeding.
